Thai protests turn deadly

In late 20?????11, after years of fighting for better conditions in Vietnam, protesters gathered in downtown Kuala Lumpur and blocked roads and boulevards.

In 2011, anti-government activists took over government buildings in protest of an anti-government government bill that would require a speci???al parliamentary committee to monitor local election activity.

The bill provoked intense protests that led to the fall of the prime minister, Najib Razak, on February 25, 2013, a day after the police shot dead a Thai dissident who was trying to break up pro-government sit-ins.

Police arrested many protesters that same day, as police tried to restore order, while the Bangko???k-based government sought to suppress the protests with a crackdown and extrajudicial killings.
